What to know about how we worship
How we dress for worship
We are a “Come as you are” congregation, so wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing. We have people who will attend in ties and dresses; others who arrive in jeans and tee shirts. We invite you to come as you are comfortable…we just want you to join us!
Children are welcome!
We excitedly welcome children of all ages to be participants in worship services. We do not have a lot of programming for children at this time but are looking to engaging children in a Christmas musical and Bible Study opportunities.
How we celebrate Communion
In Disciples tradition, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday, inviting all to the Table. Our commitment to celebrating communion is to open the observance to all who are following Jesus. Regardless of your background or tradition, religious or not, if you want to remember and honor Christ, we invite you to participate in remembrance with us.
We offer communion in two ways: individual sealed serving of bread and juice, as well as through the practice of Intinction; coming forward to dip the bread into the cup.
How we sing together
Our service contains predominately traditional hymns. You will find that we sing with piano, sometimes with organ and piano; sometimes with recorded music and sometimes accapella! We seek to simply celebrate our relationship with God in our services and invite you to join your voices with us!
